On‑Device Storage
• Audio recordings, detected segments, and transcripts are stored locally on your device.
• You control if and when to share or export any content outside of the app (e.g., via the system share sheet).
Permissions and How They’re Used
• Microphone: Used to record audio for features like EVP capture. Audio remains on your device unless you share it.
• Speech Recognition: Used to generate live captions and transcripts. Spirit Seekers does not receive or store this data on any server.
Note on Speech Recognition: Depending on device capabilities, settings, and language, Apple’s Speech framework may process audio on‑device or via Apple services. Spirit Seekers does not control Apple’s processing and does not receive this data. If you prefer that no audio leave your device, you can disable speech features or request an on‑device‑only configuration.
Sharing and Exports
• If you choose to share recordings or transcripts (e.g., exporting audio), the content you share is sent only to the destination you select (e.g., Files, Mail, Messages).
• Spirit Seekers does not initiate any sharing on your behalf.
Data Retention and Deletion
• Your data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
• Deleting the app removes all app data stored on your device.
Children’s Privacy
• Spirit Seekers does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
• Because we do not collect data, there is no personal information for us to delete or disclose.
Third‑Party Services
• Spirit Seekers uses Apple system frameworks (e.g., AVFoundation, Speech) to provide core functionality.
